The little things

I've kind of reached a milestone in my life. I've gone from having an ASN degree in nursing to a BSN (Bachelor's degree). Music to my ears. It has been a long time coming since my education has had several breaks, however, I am proud to say that I have a sense of relief and accomplishment. It feels good, and now that I have some extra time on my hands, I would like to devote my time to the really important stuff...like crafts & blogging. My goal is to commit to my blog (keeping in mind that I do work full-time and am trying to take advantage of my new found freedom) and post at least 2x a month.

And so, without further ado: Here are some small/easy crafts I have completed with the means of re-purposing objects I already had that have had major impact within the home.

First up: Old Alarm Clock gets a revamp with a fresh coat of GOLD acrylic paint!

Supplies: Old alarm clock, paint in color of your choice, paint brush, fine point sharpie marker

 #2: Mod Podge jewelry box facelift using an H&M bag!!

Things you'll need: An ugly jewelry box, mod podge, paint brush, H&M bag, scissors, Q-tips for wiping off excess glue

And with just a little bit of time, some unused/unattractive household items, & some creativity - you can recreate and repurpose ordinary everyday things that can add character to your personal space :]

A year of great things!

My first of many postings. I'm excited about kicking off the new blog and to start things off, I thought I'd share a small purchase made at the post office the other day. If you love stationary and shopping as I do then even going to the post office can be a daunting task because you always run into something you need/want. This time around, it was pretty cool...
